Research in Practice

CPAN is focused not only on research but on putting that research into practice, connecting with community members to effect meaningful change in Lane County and across Oregon. Each of 90by30’s seven Regional Leadership Teams has selected a mix of evidence-based strategies to reduce child abuse and support parents. CPAN, in partnership with community members, is evaluating those strategies.

90by30

90by30 is a community-campus partnership with the aspirational goal of reducing child abuse 90 percent by 2030. It is the largest project of the Center for the Prevention of Abuse and Neglect and empowers volunteers in each region of Lane County to choose child abuse prevention strategies – like the Welcome Baby Bundle and Roots of Empathy – that work for their area. K(no)w More

In addition to the strategies picked by each region, 90by30 is implementing a countywide strategy: K(no)w More, a media campaign designed to show every community member, group, or business how they can help keep children safe and healthy. K(no)w More complements April’s annual Child Abuse Prevention Month activities to draw awareness to the issue of abuse and provide ways to take action.
