Research in Practice

CPAN is focused not only on research but on putting that research into practice, connecting with community members to effect meaningful change in Lane County and across Oregon. The 90by30 Initiative and the K(no)w More media campaign are two examples of community-driven projects.

The Oregon Child Abuse Prevalence Study (OCAPS) is designed to measure child abuse and neglect prevalence rates. Child Abuse Prevention Climate Survey

It will be re-administered every four years through 2032. The measure is designed to identify public beliefs, attitudes, self and collective efficacy, and perceptions of child abuse primary prevention strategies.
